An American telephones his friend in Russia and says: “Ivan, I’ve just seen on the news that you have minus 60 degrees!”
Ivan replies: “No, that’s not possible. Maximum minus 20.”
The American presses on: “But the images were terrible.”
“It’s not possible,” says Ivan. “Minus 25 at the worst.”
“But CNN showed houses and trees frozen.”
Ivan thinks for a moment. “Oh, you mean outside? Yes, that’s possible.”
Note – this is eerily similar to how we spent New Year’s Eve at the house
